Expanding priority review pathways for drugs that meet health care system needs

This project will build new review pathways for those drugs shown to meet health care system needs.

The outcome for the people of Canada will be faster access to drugs, including drugs for rare diseases.

The tasks for this project include:

• stakeholder engagement sessions (now to March 2018) with:
  • patients
  • consumers
  • key health partners
  • industry stakeholders
  • health care professionals
• targeted consultations (January to February 2018) by:
  • webinar
  • electronic questionnaire
• a draft policy and guidance document completed for broad consultation (fall 2018)

We expect to start using these new pathways in 2019.
